[council] Meet the candidates of the up-coming ICANN Board election....
Dear Names Council Members As a NC member I would like to ensure every candidate is given the opportunity to have their message "heard" by the Council. May I to bring to your attention information concerning all of the candidates, their bios and statements and their positions concerning various issues, where submitted. At least two of the candidates will not be attending Montevideo and some NC members will not be in Montevideo, so I believe it is important to have the opportunity to understand every candidates position. Many constituency members will not be travelling to Montevideo and some constituencies will be "interviewing" candidates via a telephone conference in advance of Montevideo, and may I urge those constituencies who have not considered interacting with each candidate to do so in advance of the ICANN meeting. If past performance is anything to go by there are likely to be a few "surprise" issues that "pop-up" in advance of the ICANN meeting which the NC may need to address in addition to it's already full work agenda so it may be good to have the election out of the way asap!
