Yes, So?

It is a broadly held view going far beyond the active gTLD community, as 
shown during the green/white paper process with public commentary.

It's just a wild guess on my part, but I'm guessing that Tony was also 
trying to attack Ken, personally.

It is unfortunate that some folks are unwilling to deal with the content of 
suggestions, instead finding need to make ad hominems.

And it doesn't matter whether the specific ad hominem is factually 
correct.  That is irrelevant.

On the average, people who attack people rather than discussing content do 
so because their ability to discuss content is limited.

Of course, this is irrelevant to the content of the proposal and hence is 
unhelpful to constructive discussion.

As a side note:  It's wonderfully ironic that this kind of concern and 
logic would be raised by someone who insists that they are independent of 
NSI, in spite of taking money from it.  (And yes, this is exactly what I 
mean by the path of ad hominem being unproductive.)
