[registrars] [Fwd: Afilias Research Poll]

Unacceptable and sets a bad precedent even
if it was included in agreement with Icann.
The registry shouldn't be communicating directly with the
registrants. This is a further erosion of the
business model. And another reason to be fearful
of the proposed universal whois.

Dear Registrars,

Now that we are operating in real time, we are moving to complete the
activities envisioned in in our agreement with ICANN. One of these is a
survey of registrants to determine their satisfaction levels
(Exhibit B).

Accordingly, we have prepared a short survey (3minutes) that real time
registrants will be invited to take beginning on Friday of this week. On
Friday, we will email all registrants who registered names from October 20 -
November 26 (about 50,000 unique registrants) and invite them to participate
in a short survey. Only these registrants will be eligible. The email
will contain a link to the survey. The incentive to participate will be a
chance to win a Sony digital camera.

A copy of the introductory email and the questions we plan to ask is
attached to this email. As you will note, it includes questions on overall
satisfaction as well as some basic diagnostic information that can help us
assess who is registering .INFO names.

The poll will be open for responses thru December 20, and we should have
results shortly thereafter.

If you have any questions, please call or email me.

Have a wonderful holiday!

Best regards,
