Re: [wg-c] WG Chairs

Kent:
I'm going to ask you to be a statesman and a true facilitator of
cooperation and withdraw your own name as a co-chair.

I have no idea whether you would be elected or not, but in my opinion it
will seriously harm the functioning of this committee if both Chairs come
from exactly the same school of thinking about the new gTLD problem. You
have a longstanding cooperation with Javier on the CORE RFP committee,
you both held offices in PAB and were observers to POC, and you both
agree on the same basic positions in this committee.

A working group such as this is supposed to develop consensus, trust and
cooperation among a broad variety of stakeholders.

Neither I nor Jon Weinberg have withdrawn our nominations. I would be
happy to withdraw in favor of Jon, and I would encourage you, Kent, to do
likewise, in order to ensure a more balanced approach to this committee.
