RE: [registrars] Re: Centralize Your Domains with no Upfront Fees

Bhavin,

I believe if read on down to the first * you'll see that the client has to
agree to a certain term of service that does include fees. It's the kind of
marketing spin you see all of the time, kind of related to "yours FREE for
just $6.95 shipping."

THIS IS THE PART ..... That scares me. How can they offer FREE
TRANSFERS. Is there a hidden charge that they levy to their customers?
or is this one of those examples where they have an unfair advantage due
to the fact of being a registrar and a registry today?

there was an issue raised last year in the constituency of verisign
selling under $6 domains. Nothing concrete was turned up unfortunately.

Now there is an issue of verisign giving free transfers. Assuming there
is a trick in the mail (which it seems since there is a small print
below mentioning some charges) I am ok with it, and hope however that in
the future they do not decide to offer completely FREE transfers at
anytime (considering they are the only registrar who have practically no
cost)
