Ross,
Would it be accurate to state that voter turnout is actually 33.6% of polled
registrars (119 total on the list below divided by the 40 who voted)?
Why are there only 119 registrars listed below, when ICANN shows that there
are 157 which are accredited
(http://www.icann.org/registrars/accredited-list.html)?
With 157 accredited registrars, isn't the voter turnout then really 25.5%?
Would it also be accurate to note that since Mike is getting an updated list
of Registrar Constituency member registrars (presumably those who have paid
their dues), that we don't have accurate statistics for the votes within the
constituency?
Lastly, how relevant is it to consider market share when analyzing the
votes?
It may be of interest that Webster's dictionary
(http://www.m-w.com/dictionary.htm) defines the word "consensus" to be: 1 a
: general agreement : UNANIMITY, and b : the judgment arrived at by most of
those concerned; 2 : group solidarity in sentiment and belief. With either
the 33.6% or 25.5% voter turnout numbers, it can be concluded that consensus
has not been reached.
The missing aspect of the vote noted below is that registrants, our
[registrar] customers, have not been polled.

Which on further examination means that out of 42 Constituency Members,
83.3% Approve, 9.52% Disapprove and 2.38% abstain. Out of the 39 member
companies, 89% approve (keeping in mind that member corporations can cast
one vote for each accreditation) and 2.5% disapprove and 2.5% abstained.
Voter turnout was 95.2%
Please keep in mind that these are not in any way official, but are based on
the preliminary numbers that Mike forwarded earlier - YMMV...
