Mr. Conant,

What Mr. Burton did here was not a censure.  There are two facets of this
group that Mr. Burton has been very instrumental in accomplishing, keeping
the group somewhat focused, and diffusing personalities traits both positive
and negative.

What his email was an attempt to keep the group on tract and a reminder to
leave personal agendas in the area of your motivation not as an issue.

I was more interested in your failure to identify the USG officials.  I say
this to bring the matter back on track in that I believe lobbying is a very
important part of outreach and structure and fundraising.  Sometimes in
order to do good we must look good.
