and what it does, is manage a virtual 'space', so I guess some people might
make a 'mistake' in thinking that its 'governing' instead of 'managing'... the
difference being is that the managed space is composed of data, words and
numbers, instead of earth, water and air. (I can direct you to a decent Net
imitation of earth, water and air, if one desires to enjoy just how well
someone can imitate real spaces on the Net for real people to enjoy in this day
and age.)

You basically say the Net is Disneyland, but its not. Disneyland is owned by
only one entity - Walt Disney Co. The net is owned by a teeming plethora of
entities, just like a real city. ICANN is managing that city's infrastructure.
Call ICANN the city water and road works instead of the city council office.
Unfortunately its starting to act like the city council, a situation I do not
like.

Again, ICANN is supposed to allow representation of the stakeholders within the
'managed infrastructure'.

for the record, I would prefer all the constituencies to be dissolved, right
back into the GA.

all the best, Robin
