NO - RE: [wg-c] Consensus Vote



I vote no - not until there is an independent economic (and perhaps
cultural) impact analysis performed, especially WRT the impact of the
creation of new gTLDs on ccTLDs and local providers in developing regions
of the world. And not until there is a rational process agreed to by all.

This will have a major impact in India, Africa, many small island
territories and nations, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Eastern European
regions. Just the opening up of .com has already had an impact in the
Philippines and Singapore. We need to know more about these impacts.
