Re: [wg-c] WG-C meeting tomorrow (Wed.)

Jonathan,

This is unfortunate, as even the agenda will be happenstance,
and traditionally, the subject of assertions of abuse of some
kind.

The haphazardly constituted pannel discussion of Monday was
illuminating on two counts:

	1. Of the six pannelests, only two were able to speak
to the specifics of new gTLDS, or thought the issue
a useful way to spend public pannel time,
	2. The author of Position Paper B, calling for 500 new
gTLDs on a strict schedule, wouldn't name any.

I don't think we are likely to find out what lies beyond the
shrill demand for some big number on some short schedule from
the Position Paper B adherents -- it hasn't happened in public,
or private, over a period of several months. I hope you don't
waste too much time chasing what can't be caught. If there is
anything the LA attendees can do to harmonize the common areas
of A,C,D,E (or F), or pass beyond the numbers (6-10) and dates
(soon) to the specifics, or methods to obtain specifics of the
proposed gTLDs, or simply to have a civil breakfast and morning
chat, this would be time well spent.

I've prior committments today, but Johnathan has my cell phone
if anything comes up that I might be able to contribute on.

Cheers,
Eric
