Since a) the purpose of the false claim is to distract from constructive 
dialogue, and b) these sorts of threads are rearely subject to careful or 
precise language, I was not overly concerned with debating the fine point 
you raise, but rather the basic question of a) responsibility for the cited 
action, and b) the degree of promise in the action.

aThat said, yes, the language I've seen used by the CORE members did not 
include "sold."
