[comments-wgb] Sunrise Plus Twenty Proposal

		Viacom International Inc., whose businesses include
Paramount Pictures Corp., MTV Networks, Nickelodeon, Simon & Schuster,
Showtime, Paramount Digital Entertainment and Blockbuster, endorses the
"Sunrise Plus Twenty" proposal recently put forward by the Intellectual
Property Contitutuency in response to the planned introduction of new gTLDs.
Widespread "cybersquatting" by persons clearly trying to either wrongly
exploit the trademark rights of others, or extort sums from the trademark
owners by registering first with gTLDs is a growing and persistent problem
for Viacom and its businesses.  Protections such as those provided in this
proposal will provide trademark owners with some level of protection against
this significant problem.
