[comments-gtlds] Support for Position Paper promulgated by Chicoine, Rindforth and Luppo

My name is J. Scott Evans.  I am a trademark and copyright attorney located in Charlotte, North Carolina.  I practice in a small four person firm that specializes in representing small to mid-sized companies.  I am also chair of INTA's DNS Subcommittee. 

 

I fully support the paper submitted by Ms. Chicoine, et al.  I believe that safeguards to eliminate the problems haunting the DNS need to be implemented and evaluated before the Internet community rushes to introduce any new gTLDs.  Careful evaluation is necessary in order to avoid creating an environment where only the unscrupulous can succeed.
