RE: [registrars] Nomination of Elana Broitman

Tim - thank you for nominating me.  I am honored to be considered for the Chair and happy to accept the nomination.  I have worked in this industry for 3 years, always in the role of representing an ICANN accredited registrar.  Having seen both ICANN and our constituency grow and evolve, I believe that I've learned good lessons about how to foster an effective constituency.  The Registrar Constituency should serve the interests of all members, regardless of size, nationality or business model.  The key to that is fair and transparent processes and leadership.  The Constituency should also engage ICANN and other important policy bodies in order to further registrar interests.  Both my ICANN and legislative experience, I think, will lend themselves to effective stewardship of the Constituency with stakeholder bodies.

I will file a disclosure statement in the next few days, but in the meantime, want to assure the Constituency that I would take very seriously my responsibility to the Constituency, rather than my company, in this role.

Again, thank you for the nomination. I would welcome any questions.

Subject: [registrars] Nomination of Elana Broitman

I would like to nominate Elana Broitman for President of the RC Executive Committee.

Elana has been an active participant in the ICANN process and has demonstrated her leadership abilities within the RC, most recently in her work as Chair of the Bylaws drafting committee. As we move forward under the ICANN reorganization, I believe the RC would benefit greatly from her experience and dedication.
