Bruce - this question comes from one of our resellers. You, and others at
VRSN, have indicated that this was a temporary problem as far back as two
years ago. Customers who receive final notices for domains that they have
already transferred to other registrars is incredibly confusing, further, I
can imagine that a good number of these "final notices" actually get paid,
even though no particular service has been provided. Given the importance of
good book-keeping and high-levels of customers service, especially when
under the scrutiny of the public markets, I would have hoped that VRSN's
earlier promises of paying attention to this would have born fruit by now.

Can you provide me with an indication of when VRSN expects this behavior to
cease in order that I can brief my customers?

NetSol does seem to have a problem but, surprisingly, it always seems to
be in their favor:-).  [I've been off the list for about three months so
please forgive me, and thanks in advance for letting me know if the
following has been posted before.]

NetSol has been sending me renewal notices for domains that I transfered
to OpenSRS months ago.  They authorized the transfer but it would seem
that they didn't remove them from their billing software. The "purely
cosmetic" public whois shows this clearly.  I have just been ignoring
them and haven't had a problem yet:-).  A partial example follows:
