Re: [registrars] Budget Advisory Group

Michael,

Thank you for your thoughts. It was news to me that you had concerns about
last years group of us who represented the consistency. I thought you had
been supportive and indeed involved all along the way and I am disturbed to
hear that you now are expounding the fact that you had "concerns" about the
consistencies representation.

I would suggest sticking to the same process that occurred last year to
pick the representatives. If you recall, you announced a "budget
committee" and asked for all those wishing to serve on it to attend a
conference call and I believe you created a mailing list as well for those
who wanted to receive the documents and participate.

This group then went on to pick the three representatives to the ICANN
budget group. While I would support an overall voting process should the
group decide to go in that direction, I think it is important to form a
small committee that can deal with these issues and then bring them back to
the constituency as a whole. Last year, I think we had about 9 people that
participated in the committee.

Given that John is no longer with Dotster, we will need to find at least
one new member (and perhaps 3).

Do you have the list of those on the mailing list from last year ? Perhaps
you could publish this as a historical record of what occurred last year
and who exactly was represented on the constituencies committee.

I know that I would be willing to serve again, should the constituency so
desire.

Rob.
