Oh no, it makes perfect sense. What will happen is that things will go
according to the original plan, and when people complain Jonathan will
simply state that he didn't see a lot of people supporting a
self-forming, voting role for the GA.

The modus operandi for ICANN et. al. is to pretend to take feedback to
give the illusion of openness.
