Re: [ga] Individuals' Constituency Task Force Member

Hello Danny,

I must object.

Mr Teernstra's history with the IDNO is anything but positive.

At this moment I do not have the time to give a full accounting of
why, but I will take this time either later today or tomorrow.

Normally such a detailed critique of a person might not be
appropriate, but since he is being put forward ostensibly to represent
the GA's views, I think it is entirely appropriate to go into how this
person's history shows that he goes his own way, even in defiance of
a majority of those he represents, simply because he believes that his
views are right and he knows better what is in their best interest
than they do.

I will do a more detailed analysis, with references from the
historical IDNO mailing list archives very soon.

Instead, I put forward the name of David Farrar, who has shown a top
notch commitment as well to the cause of domain owners in the DNSO,
and despite the fact that I disagree with him on some of the CORE
issues surrounding that subject, Mr Farrar has shown through his
actions and history to be above reproach and a man who cares about his
responsibilities to those he is representing, and takes those
responsibilities seriously, without trying to advance his own agenda
at their expense.
