[ga] perspective

We are all well aware of the of the problems revealed by the recent
thread started by Bretts' post and request to the BoD.  We must
recognize and appreciate the prompt response by Mr. Roberts and Mr.
Peter de Blanc.
In terms of the GA roll I ask for explanations as to why the problem
occurred.

Possibilities:

1. A mistake?

2. Improper intentions?

3. Ignorance?

4. Inability?

I ask that we do not approach the matter and stop but that we as
responsible netizens provide a solution along with any criticism. We
should address not only what caused the problem but how we can fix it.

If the DNSO structure is to work properly here is the place to mix it up
and provide guidance.

A friend just described the GA as "all the dnso dudes and dudettes work
all day in their different factories and then they meet in the union
hall and gripe and complain and expect their voices to be conveyed by
their well spoken buddies to the man."
I feel like we were all sitting around talking about who would be
elected when Brett ran in the door waiving the paper saying read all
about it.  General Assembly is a good term.
So chair or no chair speak your piece so that when I go to Melbourne I
can say what the folks back at the hall have to say.

I am not trying to advocate here. I only want to bring a perspective
that puts all the holders of  underlying sentiments at ease so their
thoughts can be spoken.

It is very clear that there are a lot of members who simply grab their
refreshment and sit back and listen to what us talkers have to say and I
submit they are the true assembly.  The more things change the more they
remain the same.
