Number 11 on the Mr.Weikers list is Robert Bemer, a former IBM employee and
computer scientist who was instumental in the development of COBOL,
FORTRAN, ASCII, and the development of IBM mainframes.  Mr.Bemer has also
advised several U.S. Presidents on computer issues as well as the U.S. DoD.
 Mr. Bemer is currently retired but advised a number of large U.S.
corporations in the late 1990s as they performed Y2K remediation on their
mainframe systems. 

Number 6, Leon Kappelman, is an IT professor at the U. of Texas in the U.S.
 Both of these gentlemen have been involved in other listservs related to
IT issues.
