Just to make things a little clearer. As a yachtsman myself, It is my
duty...

Dennis Conner isn't famous so much for winning the Americas Cup. The real
Reason he became famous is because he's the one that "Won it back after
losing it to Australia". 

A little factoid that most "Especially the SDYC" will conveniently neglect
to mention. Hardly any land-lubbers even paid attention to the America's
Cup racing until Conner lost it.
