Re: [wg-review] Interim Chair

Danny and Group,

Notwithstanding any serious objections to my
filling the slot of interim Chair for the WG, I
realize that my acceptance of such a role would
require that I drop the advocacy of any specific
positions within the WG itself. I am ready and
willing to take up an impartial function as a
moderator ("midwife"), for a ferment and
presentation of recommendations to the BoD from
this WG with regards to Resolution 01.28 &
Resolution 01.29.

To date, this WG has discussed many interesting
ideas which relate to the matter at hand, i.e.
proposal(s) for
restructuring/reorganization/reconsideration of
the processes and procedures of the DNSO. There
have been numerous proposals ranging from the
abolition of the constituency structure itself
into the GA, to the introduction of an IDNH/O
constituency within the existing structure, to a
restructuring of the GA based on an emulation of
the ccTLD organization i.e., along national lines.
I think a worthwhile manner for this WG to proceed
would be to identify and allot Topics of Interest
to any members of the WG who have submitted
postings in any of the heretofore logged comments
on the topic (as well as any new ones which may
arise). If there are any other ideas/comments as
to how we should proceed, I urge Members to come
forward with their ideas and thoughts on the
matter.

Unless anyone has any serious problems with such a
program, I look forward to suggestions for a
division and alottment of topics. As time is
definitely pressing, I hope we can cooperate in
order to facilitate a serious and relevant set of
proposals/recommendations to the BoD.

Faithfully,

Sotiris Sotiropoulos
