[wg-review] Re: Informal Teleconference Briefing, 2001. 1. 23

It is easier to give negative opinions to group processes than solutions to
problems. I am optimistic and want to work in the direction of providing
productive solutions to global problems.

I cannot imagine how a teleconference would be productive at this juncture of
the wg-review process. I believe that there should be more support through
the email communication process regarding specific topics for a
teleconference, especially when the cost of the teleconference has been made
an issue. Why waste resources when the teleconference idea appears to be
premature? Sitting on the phone isn't going to get the job done here.

I suggest we get back to the issues via email here and foster the record
being developed.

In the mean time, regarding the multilingulaism idea, I suggest that
interested parties use URL http://babel.altavista.com/translate.dyn

Let's focus on the problem of why the international Internet community is
resisting ICANN, or visa versa.
