In the case of trademark infringements, I would agree completely. However,
imposing restrictions on the transfer of domains from one registrant to
another is a non-starter. I have been a party in two domain transactions in
the last week - one buy and one sell - totalling US$7,500.

Why did I sell? Simply because the buyer wanted a domain that I was holding
and had a rather limited business plan for and was prepared to pay enough
for me to change my plans.

Why did I buy? Because I wanted a certain domain to start a site, and was
prepared to pay more than the future value of that domain to someone else.

Specific domains have intrinsic value to businesses, and any policy which
failed to accommodate that fact would simply create a black market. I
needed that domain!
