RE: [wg-review] Bounced Message from AFNIC, Annie

Well. If we do not translate email on lists, and we just translate reports
we are disentrancing non-English speakers. They need to be involved in the
process, not just hear about on the 5 o'clock news. (excuse the sarcasm) .
While I agree it's a daunting task, if ICANN is going to be international
then we need translators for just about everything.

Hmm, I just read a good suggestion from Joel Disini of .PH to let the ccTLDs
do
it... and it could be part of how they 'pay' ICANN. I personally thought it
was an interesting suggestion, so I am restating it in case people didn't
pay
attention...

Corporations with international businesses have translations done all the
time.
Why should ICANN be any different? Now if ICANN is going to be an
'international' corporation, at the very least it should act like a real
one...

Its not like every email message on a mailing list has to be translated,
rather
the official public reports, documents and such... Its really not a daunting
task.

all the best, Robin
