Eric, your suggestion of a continued series of 100s of
specifically chartered distinct business TLDs with enforced charters is exactly
the model much of the Business Constituency has been asking for since the DNSO
began. Such a set leads to clarity, findability, low dispute incidence and
fairness in the eyes of non-commercials and individuals. Unfortunately WG C did
not agree.
So dot pro, aero, museum, coop are steps in the right
direction. Dot biz and dot name are yet to be proven (they are rather wide and
the intent of their creators may abused by users). Dot info is a step over the
precipice into the mire of dot com.
