Dear NCBA-
I am the chairman of the International Congress of Independent
Internet Users, an online meeting place for independent domain name
holders and other users of the Internet.
It has recently come to my attention that ICANN, the organization
charged with administering the domain name system, has approved the
new generic top level domain .coop, and that it has bestowed the
right to administer this new TLD upon the NCBA.
I would be interested to learn from you what relationships your
organization has with other cooperative organizations, for example
those in the Scandinavian countries where the cooperative movement
began, and those in South America, and in particular in Argentina,
where cooperatives account for a very sizable part of the economy.
Any information you can provide me on this subject will be greatly
appreciated.
