[wg-c] The warp-core is down cap'n an' all we have is impulse power...

To begin with, I hope that this message gets through, as this is not my
machine.

Last Wednesday morning, my system drive, on my workstation, decided to take
a permanent vacation (Yes, hawk.lvrmr.mhsc.com is still down. I'm doing this
from eagle.lvrmr.mhsc.com. No, it wasn't a virus, the IDE drive died. Anyone
who doesn't have bootable RAID on their WinNTws, must be into pain ...).
Fortunately, my servers are all Unix and they all have RAID. Also, the data
is still there, I just don't have an operating system and tools on that box
<sigh>.

The problem, for me is, this effectively halted a lot of work (I am writing
this on another machine and a borrowed copy of MS-Outlook98) while my WS is
getting IDE RAID installed and the system drive gets rebuilt). I am also
asking indulgence for the state of the web-pages, I am reduced to editing
the HTML files, from a UNIX CLI using vi. So, please bear with me.

The most current copy is the Word2k DOC file. I will refresh the other files
this morning and I will try and get the web-page into better shape (fix all
the links). In the mean-time, I have copied the whole mess into the
<http://download.dnso.net> web-site and you can get them directly via the
links I am providing here. In that same directory, if one is interested in
costing information, are the IDNRS files that I am using for the business
case. I have not yet integrated them into the position paper, due to the
crash.

I should have most of this in better shape this evening. My workstation is
being repaired tomorrow morning and I should have it rebuilt by Sunday
morning. The paper should be fully integrated by Monday morning and
re-released. Please, consider this an alpha release. This isn't code, so
holes are allowed. At least, we have something to talk about. Oh yeah, I
only have limited e-mail capability until my workstation is back online.
