[comments-whois] Privacy rights

I have the right to have an unlisted phone number. Neither my name, nor
address, nor email address, nor fax number, nor phone number will be
published if I request such a service. This type of service does not present
any undue difficulties for the law enforcement community and is accepted as
common practice worldwide. Why then must all my contact details be published
in the WHOIS?

I have a right to protect my privacy. Enforcing current ICANN policy
regarding the accuracy of WHOIS data as articulated in section 3.7.7.2 of the
Registrar Accreditation Agreement is poor policy guidance to offer the ICANN
Board. Give us the equivalent of an unlisted phone number, and allow
registrars to charge for such a service.
