RE: [registrars] nomination for names council

Not in relation to this posting but I heard that there is a problem with having a North American citizen represent Asia-Pacific region.  Is this true?

Subject: [registrars] nomination for names council

I would like to nominate Mr. François Collignon of 7ways (France) for a seat on the names council. Mr. Collignon has had extensive experience in the dns and is very well respected by his peers.

I believe he would bring an excellent perspective  to the council and would do a fine job representing the registrars interest.

Mr. Collignon is both a citizen and resident of France and his company is a French company and a newly-accredited ICANN registrar
holiday wishes and happy new year to you all
