The nice thing about EPP transfers is that it doesn't matter who the
Registrars are.  The burden is on the domain holder to acquire the AuthInfo
code for each domain.  You just need to come up with an easy way for domain
holders to submit domain/AuthInfo pairs in a batch operation.  Whois
information can then be verified via EPP "info" commands and/or the Registry
Whois.

There appears to be some difficulty for domain holders to acquire their
AuthInfo codes however.  Part of the problem is that domain holders are not
used to these codes and do not understand exactly what they are asking for
from their current Registrar.  It also appears that some Registrars'
customer service staff do not understand what the domain holder is asking.
Our customers have received responses from other Registrars varying from "we
don't support transfers of those domains" to "we don't require an
authorization code".  Some have even given out the password to the
customer's online account at that Registrar.

I would like to suggest that we as Registrars come up with a standard term
for the AuthInfo code that will be used by all gTLD Registrars.  This term
should be relatively simple and be included in the FAQ or online help found
on Registrar sites.

My suggestion would be that we simply call this the "Authorization code" or
"Transfer authorization code".

How have each of you handled bulk transfers with domains using EPP?  As
you know, each .org, .biz, .info domain requires an EPP Code from the
loosing registrar before allowing a domain to transfer to the gaining
registrar.

How have you addressed lets say 100 names from 5 separate registrars in
batch?  Does the registrant actually have to request an individual
transfer code for each individual domain name from every different
registrar?

I would appreciate any one's advice on how you addressed this for large
domain owners.
