Hello All,

See the mail below.

I think it would be worth participating in a teleconference to discuss
with GNR.

Any comments?

Regards,
Bruce

Subject: GNR proposed product change

Hello Registrars:

Global Name Registry is considering a change in its product offering to
permit registrations at the second level as well as the third level of
the .name TLD. Under the current arrangement I am able to register
becky.burr.name. I would prefer, however, to have a registration at
beckyburr.name. GNR proposes to make the latter registration possible.
There would be no other changes in the registration criteria - .name
would still be a name space for individuals using their actual names.

This change may require a modification of GNR's contract with ICANN. We
are discussing that issue with ICANN staff, but in the meanwhile thought
it would be a good idea to give you a bit more information on the
proposal and get input from the registrar constituency. In particular,
we would like to suggest any morning this week or early next week
(morning to accommodate the variety of time zones reflected above) for a
conference call.

Please let me know if you would like to discuss this matter further, and
please send information about times that would work.

Thanks.

Becky
