Dear BobS:  Thanks for passing this one to me.  I think it is one of those 
"not in the root" things.

However, Bob, there will be a legitimate .us in the very near 
future.  Learned about it last week at ICANN.  Limited to U.S. citizens or 
permanent residents living in the States -- corporate citizens as
