I am the President and Founder of PointnClick, Inc.(est. 1999)  PnC is a technology business located in Naperville, Illinois that consults businesses and develops internet and multimedia computer based marketing solutions.  NAICS#541519

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing from the Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois. (1983)  From 1983-1999 I was employed full time at Minolta Business Systems, A subsidiary of Minolta Corporation. Relevant positions included Branch General Manager, Minolta Business Systems, Wood Dale & Downers Grove, Illinois. (1992-1999)  I was appointed by the President of Minolta.

Retired 1999 and after sebatical & started PointnClick, Inc.

Among numerous awards for achievement, while at Minolta I was honored as a recipient of a President's award for creative ideas which I feel is relevant to the position I am accepting nomination for.  I believe that creativity and open mindedness are essential for solving difficult problems.

Personally, I am happily married for 13 years and have 2 fantastic children, a girl 9 and a boy 7.  They are quite good on the computer already! Aside from raising children and running a business, I volunteered as chairperson for a charity auction in dual roles:  acquisitons chair and computer services chair.  This was a 6 month, daily commitment. Our acquisitions served as the foundation to raise the most money this cause ever earned and I attribute much of it to the use of computer services in the organization of the entire event. Additionaly,  I assisted the American Cancer Society as a area coordinator of donations, and regularly donate to our church and other organizations serving the needs of homeless and poor. For enjoyment,  I developed and host a very large family website which is quite unique and is visited by our relatives all over the world.

10. A statement indicating your ideas, intentions and/or
the reason why you consider you should be elected to serve
in the ICANN Board (no more than 500 words):

As I read all the incredible achievements of the ICANN board I am humbled by the accomplishments and the vast expertise of the members and thus I must be a bit brave in pursuing of this position. I do not know any of you and I hope that will not work against me.  Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider me.

It is because of my belief in the internet's benefits that I want to make a difference.  I want to be a part of this incredible historical time.   The internet is untapped despite its growth statistics.

I have a sterling reputation for integrity and hard work.  I will do my best to help the ICANN board resolve issues by offering a common sense approach to the problems.  i.e. such as the potential increase in TLD   I have read both sides of the concerns about increasing the TLDs and this is what inspired me to run for this board position.

I believe the internet should not be governed.  I am sensitive as a parent of young children to the exposures of the internet and know that education is paramount in protecting them.   I want to protect them in my home without limiting the world's opportunities for freedom of exploration. I do not believe that fear, in itself, is a reason to limit access or deny growth.

I wish to be a part of the process.  I wish to contribute business experience, parental experience, internet experience, and hope to be an asset to the organization and learn with the rest as this complex, uncontrollable ether is shaping the way we live.
