Dear Anupam,
this is what ICANN did. Found someone from the outer world. A total 
stranger to the *real* DNS.

This is very hurting for Kent. This would mean that after having 
disregarded the candidacy of Kent as a neighbor they had to accept it 
finding no alternative elsewhere. I suppose that the prerequisite was to 
understand, like and support Kent's ICP-3 so Stuart would be relieved from 
criticisms. From now on positions will be straight from the horse's mouth.

We may all note that the ICANN team does not find people to expand and that 
on thousands of competent people on the matter they found no one new to 
agree and to work with them. Theresa was not really an outsider no more 
than Kent. How many spares left? Just to know how long Staff may survive... 
I just hope JDRP has a replacement for Louis Touton otherwise the cards 
castle may fundle the day he takes over as .ORG-Registry Chair.
