It's instructive to look at the mailing list archive pages at

       <http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc07/maillist.html>

and

    <http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga-full/Arc07/maillist.html>.

Both archive sections start on April 3, 2001.  According to the 
summaries on the bottom of these pages, ga-full had 2101 posts, 
while ga had 1741.
