Seems this definition is defied (is that the word?) by the facts that came
to light after the recent problems with the .com zone being lost on four
root-servers (posted on the nanog and domain-policy lists). They
apparently do not get their zone files from a.root but from
what NSI calls a "stealth" server. So there are two locations, if I
understand these lofty matters correctly. Well, we are all supposed to
have two for redundancy and better functioning, two eyes, ears, ... :-)
