The appointment of a CORE director as GA chair is a mere formality since CORE already runs the DNSO. (Sarcasm.)

Actually, Roberto Gaetano cannot be GA chair or even a member of ICANN because he is an employee of a governmental agency, and the White Paper, ICANN's bylaws, and U.S. Federal law prohibit government agents from being members of ICANN. (More sarcasm.)

Attention Louis Touton and Berkman/ICANN staff: It's time again for amending the bylaws. (Heavy sarcasm.)
