Re: [ga] Privacy and Whois databases



Hi Annie - we just got a question on this .. so here our cut an paste
reply.

Actually dot.satan and dot.god have a long history going back I think five
or more years.  The tld's have been used by the Peterborough Mission of
the Church of the Universe to identify good machines from bad machines.
Good machines which worked for the order were named whatever.god.
Machines that were flacky were named whatever.satan.

Both tld's have been administered by Earth-Nexus on behalf of the church
for the last 3 years and we got the contract to make it a public facility
about a year ago.   The tld's were populated about one year ago via an
announcement on irc.
