Well, in upsetting Justice. DoJ has said they will carry and anti-trust 
watch. The EEC has reacted and is far more open to "open roots" now. There 
are also some forgotten sectors like the certificate industry which is 
upset at the dominant position of MicroSoft/VerisSign. Justtry to use a non 
VeriSign certificate on your browser: it will tel you that it might be a 
pirate.....

PS you right about "first.USNIC" idea. But there was an USNIC. then 
transfred to NSI, then now under RFP. So I more refer to the concept 
thanthe actual service. Cheers.
