[council] Re: ALSC

Thank you for attempting to make time for the ALSC on your Nov. 12 agenda.
We currently have commitments that day from 08:30 - 10:00 and 18:00 - 20:00.

As for the draft proposal, the ALSC hopes that three weeks is adequate time
for the NC's consideration. ICANN has a real opportunity to make some
progress on At-Large in Nov. and put to rest key issues that are outside of
DNSO restructuring. It would be unfortunate (and potentially a waste of a
considerable amount of man hours and money) if the ALSC's work was set-aside
for (what will surely be) a long, protracted debate on re-structuring. We
hope the NC will give due consideration to the draft statement and work with
the ALSC to identify a reasonable basis for action -- in Nov. and beyond.

We look forward to hearing from you.
