I support this too.

I think that not necesarily a donation from ICANN and/or Verisign would make
the NC distancing itself from the whote DNSO.   In fact, I think that
constituencies would work better for a while since staff part would be covered
by such funds which this is translated in less to be paid for every
constituency with DNSO expenses.

Regardless we get such funding, I am agree that every time we need any sponsor
for services, be widely published by means of press releases, also making
Aknowledgements for actual sponsors/donators, etc, as you suggest here.
