I believe Dany makes a good point.
There is merit is the summary being a record of decisions unless there are
statements the NC explicitly wants laid down for posterity.

And before we do anything for posterity, remember the words of Groucho: "Why
should I do anything for posterity? What's posterity ever done for me?"
