I'm also concerned with how much input local citizens have in the operation of
the ccTLD's.  Personally, I had never had any information regarding the .au TLD
Registry and it's operation sent to me.  I did stumble across some references
that I am in the process of following up but it concerns me there is not wider
publicity given to such issues.  It would still seem to be  a "closed shop" with
little chance of participation by ordinary users.  Admit, that if a person is
interested they can chase up references and possibly find means to participate.
I would like to see it easier for users to do so.
