While I understand that the language issue is a very important one,
(I'm French, so I undertand how frustrating this is to my compatriots)
I do not think that ICANN is mature enough to be able to address
it at this point. Rome was not built in a day, and there are more
pressing issues w.r.t. ICANN & DNSO. Let's try and sort these
things out first, and then make ICANN a truly international entity.

I second Roeland's statement.
