Please note that 15 of the 41 voters ticked more than one candidate, (total
56 ticks) indicating that they were equally happy with either one of their
choices. So, I do not think the election result indicates 4 groups.

The winning candidate was not chosen (I hope) for the position he took, but
for his  ability to be decisive and bring order in the WG.

But we do have different positions in the WG and the Chairs will try to
either bring them together or determine which position has the most support.

What I would like the new Chair to do urgently is to try and stop clearly
off-topic discussions and make the WG members agree on limiting their
postings, so that the unsubbings due to mail overload will come to an end.
Too much mail makes it very hard to focus.
