Re: [wg-review] Preparation for Nominations for the WG co-chair elections

Um, a classic case of what? Of someone explicitly taking responsibility for
their own position? I believe you made a statement at one time about not
wanting it to appear that the "x" constituency or constituency was
interfering somehow in the process of creating new constituencies,
particularly for individuals. Wait...it was part of your document for the
NC discussion about the GA and a working group on the individuals'
constituency.

"it would seem more appropriate to me if this self-formation process was
managed and facilitated by the parties who are seeking constituancy status
rather than members of other constituancies......."

As an advocate for an individuals' constituency, I agree with your
reasoning regarding that part of your statement - hence I don't belong to
any existing constituency. What I disagree with you about is where the
self-organizing process can or should occur, but that isn't a topic for
this WG as far as I can tell.

>i would hope that mr burton doesn't assert that
>he is disenfranchised as he has the option to participate in constituancies
>but has elected to "take a pass"

Why in the world would I assert that? The idea has never crossed my mind. I
will assert that others who lack the options that I have personally are
disenfranchised. No one but myself is responsible for my personal choice,
though.

Oh, and Ken? Please see the discussion with Kent regarding Power and
Consensus for the effect of concentrating on "who said it" rather than
"what was said". Thanks :)

Greg
