As to whether .union should be viewed as a non-commercial gtld, it is not
readily apparent why it should. Itwould be helpful for someone to
articulate what about a union is not commercial in nature.  A union is a
commercial entity, whether or not it is for profit. The NBA is a membership
association devoted to increasing revenues for its members - how is a union
different?  Do a search of the word "union" or "local" or "international
brotherhood" at www.uspto.gov and note all the trademark registrations
belonging to unions.  These registrations require declarations that the
marks are used in commerce.  Unions names have been registered sometimes
for ancillary activities and sometimes for the act of being a union itself.
