Mission of the cc Development Project
The purpose and scope of the cc Development Project shall be to assist the ccTLD Registries in their activities concerning, but not limited to:
1. Supporting ccTLD in security, back-up systems, DNS secondary servers, etc.
2. Supporting ccTLD with outreach activities, like:
a. Increasing registration in country;
b. Training in technology and policy, sharing technical expertise and Best Practice;
c. Travel and lodging assistance to attend ccTLD-related meetings;
d. Legal services;
e. Assistance in obtaining equipment, connectivity, infrastructure in general.
3. Reporting and accounting of activities and projects.
The primary conduit for delivery of support would be through ccTLD regional associations.
Establishment and membership of the CC Development Project
The signatories to this Memorandum of Understanding, are organizations or individuals willing to support the country code Top Level Domain Registries and hereby agree to the following:
1. To establish CCDP - cc Development Project, as a not-for-profit legal entity appropriate to its country of incorporation.
2. To become a Full Member of CC Development Project for a period of not less than three years and appoint an appropriate representative to CCDP to whom voting rights are delegated.
3. To promote the interests of ccTLDs.
4. To elect an initial Managing and Strategic Committee and Chairman to whom the tasks of setting up an organization, appointing senior staff and legally incorporating the organization will be delegated.
