Candidate Statement

My name is Ron Sherwood. I am English, but a 30 year resident of the U.S. Virgin Islands. For the past 20 years I have been an independent computer consultant to Virgin Islands businesses and US businesses with VI offices. These clients are mostly in the financial services industry and with VPN and other Internet connections to multiple offshore locations.

The shocking experiences that I have encountered with the monopolistic incompetence at Network Solutions and now with VeriSign have illuminated the need for an independent group to represent, within ICANN, ccTLD managers and sub-strata users.

My interest in icannatlarge is to help develop and organize a broad based group that will have sufficient membership numbers and technical perspective to gain a position on the ICANN board and to challenge the autocratic and self-serving activities of the current ICANN establishment.
